About me

Hello! I'm currently undergoing retraining (Umschulung) to become a Fachinformatiker Anwendungsentwicklung in Germany. This journey represents a new beginning - "Development Portfolio of Martinoski Ljuben" - in my career, focusing on software development and technology.

My interests span across Python programming, app development technologies, and various software projects. I'm passionate about learning how to build efficient, user-friendly applications and solving complex problems through code.My focus is on backend development with Python, Django and Flask, clean code, test coverage and structured project management. In addition, I am actively developing knowledge of IT security (cs50-Harward-Cybersecurity Certificate (currently in progress), cryptography, penetration testing, ethical hacking, bugcrowd, etc.) and Linux server administration.

This website serves as both my portfolio and a learning laboratory where I document my progress, share projects, and showcase the skills I'm developing during my training.

Version Control Workflow

A Django web application as an interactive learning tool for professional Git practices. The code deliberately demonstrates all five SOLID principles in a real project structure.

Main Features

  • Overview of GitFlow, Trunk-Based Development, and Feature Branch Workflow with visual comparisons
  • Commit conventions following the Conventional Commits standard — 10 commit types with good/bad examples
  • Collaboration guide: pull requests, code reviews, merge conflict resolution
  • Resources page with curated learning links and SOLID principles reference

Tech Stack

  • Backend: Python 3.14 / Django 6.0.6, SQLite
  • Frontend: Django Templates (server-side rendered)
  • Architecture: SOLID principles (SRP, OCP, LSP, ISP, DIP) implemented throughout

Testing & Debugging

  • 20 unit tests written — result: 17/20 passed
  • Tests 16, 17, and 18 failed: Python 3.14 changed super().__copy__() behavior with __slots__, crashing Django's internal Context.__copy__() in template/context.py
  • Root cause: Django 5.0 was never designed for Python 3.14
  • Fix: upgraded Django 5.0 → 6.0.6 (first version with official Python 3.14 support) — then 20/20 tests green

  • views.py imports only WorkflowProvider — no concrete services (Dependency Inversion)
  • WorkflowFactory extensible without changing existing code (Open/Closed)
  • Real debugging experience: compatibility issue analyzed and resolved independently

Enterprise-Grade Password Manager

A secure, local-first password management system implementing industry-standard cryptographic protocols. Prioritizes security, usability, and complete user privacy.

Technical Implementation

  • Encryption: AES-256-CBC via Fernet (authenticated encryption)
  • Key derivation: PBKDF2-HMAC-SHA256 with 480,000 iterations
  • Security: Unique salt per installation, cryptographically secure random generation (secrets module)
  • Architecture: Modular design with separation of concerns (encryption, storage, UI)
  • Deployment: Standalone executable via PyInstaller for cross-machine portability

Machine Service Management System with Ready-Gate Validation

A Django backend project for managing machine service tickets in an industrial environment. The focus is on workflow integrity, clean layer separation (Models → Validators → Services), and automated quality assurance.

Main Features

  • 6-stage ticket workflow: NEW → GATHER INFORMATION → READY → IN PROGRESS → RESOLVED → CLOSED
  • Ready-Gate validation: tickets can only be set to READY when title, description, symptoms, and occurrence date are complete — with a percentage completeness score (0–100%)
  • Automatic checklist creation when a ticket is created, based on template presets per ticket type (incident, request, change)
  • Business rules via validators: no direct jump from NEW to RESOLVED, CRITICAL tickets cannot be downgraded to LOW
  • 3 service classes (TicketService, MachineService, ChecklistService) with statistics dashboard, overdue detection (>30 days), and completion rate calculation
  • Custom Django admin actions and full admin interface

Tech Stack

  • Backend: Python 3.14 / Django 6.0.4, SQLite
  • Architecture: separation of concerns — models.py (structure), validators.py (rules), services.py (business logic)
  • Documentation: ER diagram, class diagram, activity diagram, test protocol (25 test cases), cost-benefit analysis
